UPCOMING WITH AN ASTERISK:
Fourth Solo Art Exhibition (Toronto) has been postponed. I am 100% fine with this shift in schedule. My go-to's when I feel anxious (these days) are making dessert, taste testing home-baked bread and pastries (someone is always baking at my house), journaling, writing poems and short stories, hand-writing letters to friends, reading (a lot), listening to music (adding to and creating new playlists), day-dreaming fantastical dreams, agreeing to watch a Netflix movie/show when it was clearly my turn to choose and of course creating art (in my journals, on canvas, even on simple post-it-notes and scraps of paper).
"Life never became a habit to me." ~ Katherine Mansfield
The Art of Journaling:
Speaking of journaling. I am currently drawn into the world of 'junk journaling'. Paper, stitch, various mixed-media materials, ink and acrylic paints are my go-to's. I always feel like there is enough time to do things but in truth as I get older, there is not enough time in my day. I will make the time to journal, write my poems and stories, capture all the precious moments with my family and friends in my journals. My children and close friends will witness my legacy through my journals. My journey as an artist continues; but for now outside of the public domain.
